My partner and photographer, Richard Schmitz, took this photograph when we had the good fortune to spend a fortnight in the Emerald Isle and the beauty of this place has stayed with me since our return home in Western Washington.

Meraki is a Greek word, best translated into English as a labor of love. In other words, it means being so passionate about something that you pour yourself into it. For me, that something is travel.
